Uniswap Labs has announced the launch of its mobile wallet app for iOS devices in multiple countries. Apple has approved the app for use in several countries worldwide including UK, Hong Kong, Spain, Indonesia, Netherlands, France and more. The wallet enables users to easily create a new Ethereum wallet or import an existing one with Face ID authentication required for access.
Features Of Uniswap Wallet
The Uniswap mobile wallet offers a range of features that enable users to send and receive ERC20 tokens, swap on Ethereum mainnet as well as Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism networks. It also allows them to buy crypto using fiat with fees as low as 2.55%, much lower than 5% charged by most other wallets. Moreover, users can make use of the WalletConnect protocol to connect with any app on Mainnet or Layer 2s.
How To Buy Crypto With The Wallet?
For buying crypto through this wallet, users can either use their debit/credit card or bank transfer via MoonPay which is providing its infrastructure services for the same purpose since December 2020 when it partnered with Uniswap Labs.
Where Can You Download The App?
The Uniswap mobile wallet is available for download in App Store in all the mentioned countries where it is approved by Apple. After clicking “Get” button it will prompt you to enter your Apple ID password which can also be done via Face ID authentication method after which you will be able to access your newly created wallet instantly once fully downloaded.
Security Measures Implemented
To ensure security of user funds stored in the mobile wallets various security measures have been implemented such as recovery phrases stored securely inside iPhone secure enclave and manual/encrypted iCloud backups are also supported along with push notifications that keep you informed about onchain activities happening around your account’s address(es).
